The joint autumn conference of the Korean Association of Islamic Studies, the Korean Association of Arabic Language and Literature, and the Korean Association of Middle Eastern Studies concluded with great success on Saturday, 30 November 2024.
The conference was organised under the theme 'Rethinking the Modern Middle East through the concepts of Integration, Diversity, and Multilateralism' and consisted of individual sessions of the three associations as well as a session for the next generation of scholars.
A total of 92 scholars participated in the joint conference, and a total of eight scholars presented papers on 'Countering and Dismantling the Taste, Class, Distinction and Aversion' in a session co-organised by the Korean Association of Islamic Studies and the Middle East Institute of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
